Follow up Apt

I went into the Dr. today hoping for the best, but not knowing what the outcome was going to be.  Patiently waiting the Dr. finally came in and said everything looks perfect, that the pain in my side can either be baby in my ribs and bruising my organs, stress or just to much activity those two weeks I was in pain.  We went over some other things as far as what I can take while I'm sick (flu shot, heading to get one of those after lunch today) and am I taking the right amount of vitamins, not to much and not to little.  She measured me and I was right on track and everything else so far looks great.  I will go in 3 weeks for a Gluclose test to make sure I don't have Gestational Diabetes, I have to drink this grose orange stuff and wait to eat an hour after taking it, so hopefully that day baby is not demanding for food ;) Otherwise, I'm feeling great today, lots of energy and meeting my friend Shannon for lunch.  I have gotten really lucky and was able to take the time off to enjoy my pregnancy and rest, taking care of my Dr. apts, making dinners and just prepare for this baby, in the mean time catch up with alot of close friend or catch up with those I don't hardly see and have lunch, it has been a wonderful experience.

This morning before I headed into the Dr. at 25 weeks and 1 day!

6 months pregnant

I'm trying to be REALLY good and update this blog as much as I can, but not much has been going on lately.  I althought did go in November 12th to the Dr. for a check up because for about a month I have been having sharp, shooting pains in my stomach on the right side and up into my ribs.  When I went to the Dr. she sent me to the hospital to get a US, they checked my gallbladder, ovarys for cysts, apendix, ect... When I went in for this appointment, I did get to see the little girl moving around in there, since the lady was not a baby US tech, she didn't know much of what to look for, but we did get a cool skeleton picture of her face and her hands and I did get to see the heart beat, which is always peace of mind for any momma that is carrying a child.  The result should have been into my Dr. today and I have a follow up Friday to see if there is anything abonormal going on in there or if its just because I'm small and baby is bruising me inside and hanging out in my ribs, we will see.

24 week Ultrasound, little skeleton face and she is holding her hands together :)

24 week (6 month) picture of momma! I feel like I'm getting big and feeling very uncomfortable, ready for the next 4 months to fly by quickly!

R.I.P. Gracie Lyn Torres

October 25th, 2010 was a very hard day at our home.  We had the most beautiful, energetic, happy, healthy, precious little 5 month old yorkie puppy named Gracie Lyn.  Gracie and I got up that morning like we always did and went outside to go potty, came back in, she had her two treats of the morning and we sat down for breakfast.  Gracie always showered me with kisses for a good 45 minutes of the morning while I sat on the floor, ate my bowl of cereal, read my morning emails and got my updates from facebook.  I would always say "Can I have kisses" and no matter what she was doing she would come RUNNING.  That morning I had to nanny, so we both went into the bathroom so I could get ready, she always waited for me to take a shower, put on my makeup, do my hair and she even always smelled like my perfume, cause she was at my feet when I put it on.  That morning she decided she was going to rip up my toilette paper, so we spend the morning cleaning that up.  I left around 9am and dad (Steve) usually gets up around noon.  He called me around 1pm that day and he said "Manda, I don't want to scare you, but Gracie is not responding to me".  I rushed home to find that God had taken Gracie a bit sooner than expected.  I held Gracie in my arms for a good hour, said I was sorry, I loved her and I will miss her very much.  I wrapped her in her favorite blanket and my sister came to get her, they burried her in there yard and Jordyn (my nephew) now says goodmorning to her everyday.  There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about her and miss her, she was my BEST FRIEND.  We are thinking about getting another yorkie middle of January, but are hesitant because of baby coming, keep posted on the news of new puppy or not!

Carving pumpkins with friends, she was the highlight of the party!

Her little coat I bought her that she tried for hours to get off :)

R.I.P Gracie, you will be forever loved & missed!

It's a Girl

We went into the Dr. to find out the sex of our baby after a LONG awaited couple of weeks that turned into high anxiety, we found out we are having a baby girl.  Everyone has told me since the beginning that I was having a boy, so I was convienced and ready for a boy.  I was also told that they wait until after all the measurements and the end of the US to tell you what you are having, so I was in complete shock when I went in laid down and first thing she said was "You have a Gorgeous baby girl".  All her measurements are right on up to the day and the Tech continued to tell us for 30 minutes you have a "Perfect baby girl, she is beautiful", those words made me feel really good! Deep down inside I think every girl, wants to have girls, so I was very excited, but such in shock I didn't cry, but laughed through the rest of the US.

Its a perfectly healthy baby girl!!

The Beginning

Steve and I started out as Best Friend of 4yrs and fell in love. We now have been together for about a year and expecting our first baby together on March 3, 2011.  We are currently living in Federal way, but soon to moving beginning of next year into a home and I couldn't be more excited.  We have a little puppy named Gracie that is, as old as I am far along and she sure has been my little saving grace through this whole experience, she keeps me on my toes and that is what I need.  I love my Stevie so much, my life, my little puppy and the little one inside of me.  Keep posted for lots of updates coming in the next 5 months :)
